Bringing it Back In Balance
The importance of minerals as part of a balanced nutrition program for small ruminants and horses cannot be overemphasized. Today, with soils depleted from poor farming practices and artificial fertilizers, minerals are no longer available in the soils. Pasture plants do not contain needed amounts of key minerals for proper digestion, health, reproductive function and immunity in grazing animals. Chemical assaults to the immune and eliminative systems of our animals increase needs for antioxidant minerals. Most mineral supplements on the market today contain artificial flavor enhancers and preservatives. Minerals are not in proper balance with one another or in forms that are easily available for digestion in the body. Supporting proper digestion is vital to health and a mineral supplement should not only provide needed minerals but provide them in amounts needed for digestion, assimilation and metabolism. As a naturopath and herbalist, proper nutrition and digestion is my primary focus for my human clients and my animals. When One size doesn't fit
One size almost never fits all and the same is true in supplements. One mineral formula rarely meets the needs of every farm because of differences in soils, weather, animal species, breed differences, stages of animal growth and activity level. Back in Balance Minerals® are formulated to meet nutritional needs of animals in most situations and on most farms. However, some people may find that due to interaction with antagonistic minerals or changing nutritional needs for different life stages, their animals need something extra. That's okay! If you feel that Back in Balance Minerals® is not meeting your expectations, it may be because you need a custom formula.
