Alethea Kenney, Traditional Naturopath, Aromatherapist and shepherd designed Back in Balance minerals for her own flock of Icelandic sheep, dairy goats, llamas and horses. She was frustrated with the minerals on the market that contain additives, flavor enhancers, artificial preservatives and minerals out of balance to meet the needs of most herbivores. She began mixing her own mineral using natural ingredients and teaching others the importance of minerals in restoring and maintaining health in their own animals. More and more people wanted to start mixing their own mineral but found it to be time-consuming and tedious. Eventually, Alethea decided to work with a local mineral wholesale distributor, North Central Feeds, LLC to have her mix made available for sale.
